As a Business Development Manager, you will have a designated territory and will be responsible for the following:

  • Prospecting, cold calling, and qualifying potential clients

  • Creating and proposing customized logistics solutions to the customer

  • Closing new business

  • Maintaining existing clients

  • Meeting specific sales budgets and goals


The ideal candidate has industry operational and sales experience. Experience in both international and domestic transportation is desired.  Knowledge of the local area is essential.  Listed below are a few other desirable qualifications for the Business Development Manager:

  • High level of commitment to exceptional customer service and relationship building

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills

  • Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision


MTI Worldwide Logistics offers two different compensation plans:

  1. A highly competitive salary plus commission, or

  2. For candidates with a solid base of business a commission only option at a much higher rate
